Daniel Youmans | MS, NCC, MDiv, ASAT-Candidate**
Hi, I’m Daniel! I’m glad you’re here and looking to begin a journey of healing.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups of all ages who are navigating many of life’s challenges – including identity development, shame/guilt, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, problematic sexual behavior, life transitions, LGBTQ+ experiences, complex and religious trauma, faith-related questions, and emotional fatigue. I especially enjoy supporting young adults, teens, and parents navigating issues related to gender, sexuality, and faith.
In our work together, I will provide you a space to show up, kick back, and exhale. I utilize a trauma-informed and person-centered approach – along with CBT, DBT, and IFS principles – to empower you to explore the deeper layers of your story, deepen self understanding, develop tangible coping skills, and access greater healing and alignment.
I have an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology. I am also ASAT-Candidate and come alongside those navigating sexual addiction and problematic sexual behaviors.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy the outdoors, time spent with friends and community, traveling, playing tennis, hiking, and the occasional karaoke session.
If any of the above resonates with you, I’d love to offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to see if we might be a good fit. And if I’m not the right person, I’ll gladly help connect you with someone who is. Either way, I’m honored you’ve taken the time to explore the possibility of therapy.
