Daniel Youmans | MS, NCC, MDiv**
Hi, I’m Daniel! I’m so glad you’re here and looking to begin a journey of healing.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups of all ages who are navigating many of life’s challenges – including identity development, shame, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, life transitions, LGBTQ+ experiences, complex and religious trauma, sexual concerns, faith-related questions, and emotional fatigue. I especially enjoy supporting young adults, teens, and parents navigating issues related to gender, sexuality, and faith.
In our work together, I will provide you a space to come as you are and exhale. I believe healing happens when we have the safety to show up authentically – without any judgment – and I will come alongside you with empathy, insight, and practical tools. I draw from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective, which means I honor your story, your pace, and your values while helping you build coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and move toward greater alignment and healing.
I have an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology. Outside the therapy room, I find joy in the outdoors, time spent with friends and community, traveling, playing tennis, hiking, and the occasional karaoke session.
If any of the above resonates with you, I’d love to offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call to see if we might be a good fit. And if I’m not the right person, I’ll gladly help connect you with someone who is. Either way, I’m honored you’ve taken the time to explore the possibility of therapy.
